I got this giant cone of turquoise silk yarn at Art Fibers in San Francisco. I wanted to make something really stunning that would remind me of the trip, made in honor of surviving Matt and I’s first year of marriage. I started with a Tuscany shawl then a Clapotis then an Icarus shawl then a Swallowtail Shawl. I realized two things 1) I hate triangular shawls and 2) a Clapotis simply isn’t good enough.
So, any suggestions?

Well, if you want rectangular shawls, http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/seascape-stole, or a scarf: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/slightly-more-than-scarf I LOVE that one and may consider one for me…Ummmmm….I’d go with a lacy scarf. I am in love with the book Victorian Lace Today and would also highly recommend that one.
Not many people knew we were getting married – we decided to have a ceremony and stuff two weeks before we had it, so it was kinda hurried, but awesome. Very awesome.
