Week of FOs

I haven’t actually posted an FO (other than dishcloths which take all of two hours to make) since late July. I’ve most certainly been knitting since then, just have not felt like posting about FOs here. I’ve got five FOs to brag about so this will be the week of FOs.

The first FO post will probably come out in a few hours but, for now, here’s a list of my current WIPs.

1. Baby Booties (for Izzy): Just started a few minutes ago so only a handful of rows of progress.

2. Relocation Jaywalkers (for me): I started these in early November as we were packing up and getting ready to move. I worked on them during breaks from cleaning up the apartment, the entire plane ride to Dulles, and as we searched for apartments. I finished the first sock about two weeks ago and have yet to cast on for the second. I’m freezing so my priority is thick, warm items vs socks made out of sock yarn. I’m likely to pick them up again in a few weeks. I see no rush as they’re for me. Then again, if someone has 9 3/4″ feet, they’re yours.

3. Brea bag (for my mom): The knitting is all done, just need to put in the lining and handles. I found handles but I’m really not a fan of them. My mom’s on the shorter side and the current handles put them far too low for my slightly taller frame. Of course, the bag is stalled for now as it’s amongst my packed things. I’ll probably work on this again just before Christmas as it shouldn’t take all that long to complete.

4. Baby blanket (also for Izzy): Lots and lots of Stockinette in the round makes for boring knitting. Project is packed so I haven’t made progress in awhile. It’s about 18″ in diameter right now.
