Note: Yes, two FO posts in one day. I’m too lazy right now to schedule them to post on two different days.
Matt’s cousin, Jesse, and his wife, Christina, have always wanted to be parents, and in a few weeks, their dream will finally come true. They will be adopting a baby, due in a little over a week. I am over-the-moon happy for them. They have wanted this for so long and will have their dream come true. They are going to make wonderful parents.
As soon as I found out, I knew I wanted to make them a Baby Surprise Jacket. Having made the pattern two times before in worsted weight, I thought I would try something different and make it using sock yarn. The result is a perectly newborn-sized garmet that’s squishy and overall adorable. I’m not sure when we’ll make it up to see them next, so it’s going in the mail sometime this week. They already know I’m making this so there’s no surprise to ruin by posting here.
